- 鎬造、庵棟、身幅尋常、先反りつき、中鋒やや延びる。Shinogidukuri, Iorimune, Standard Mihaba, Sakizori-tsuki, Chu-Kissaki slightly extended.

- 板目肌に、杢目肌・小杢目肌交じり、地沸微塵に厚くつき、地景細かくよく入り、淡く乱れ映り立つ。Itamehada, Mokumehada, Mixed Small-Mokumehada, Jinie entered fine and thick, Chikei entered frequently and finely, Faintly Midare-Utsuritatsu.

- 長船康光は、兄と伝わる盛光と共に応永備前を代表する長義の孫とも伝える名工である。応永二年から応永三十三年までの年紀作がある。
この刀は、淡く乱れ映りが立ち、地沸微塵に厚くつく潤いのある美しい地鉄に、腰開き互の目に、丁子刃を交え華やかに乱れ、小沸つき、金筋砂流し頻りに掛り、匂口明るい傑作である。年紀は無いが、盛光と共に二字銘の作は出来が優れているものが多い。Osafune Yasumitsu is said to be a master swordsmith who, together with his brother Morimitsu, is the grandson of Nagayoshi, and is one of the most representative swordsmiths of Ouei Bizen. There are works dating from Ouei 2nd to Ouei 33th.
This sword has Faintly Midare-Utsuritachi, Jinie entered fine and thick with moist and beautiful Jigane, Koshibiraki-Gunome, Mixed Choujiba, Gorgeouse Midare, Small-Nie-tsuki, Kinsuji and Sunagashi entered frequently, Nioikuchi is bright a masterpiece. Although there is no date, many of the works bearing two-character inscriptions, like those of Morimitsu, are of excellent quality.
