Drscription
Kaneuji, one of the Masamune Jittetsu, moved from Yamato to Shizu in Mino Province and his school flourished, but his disciples Kanetomo, Kanetsugu, Kaneshige, and Kanenobu later moved to Naoe in the same province and began making swords there, and so these swordsmiths who were active during the Nanbokucho period are known as NaoeShizu. Kanetomo is said to have been the son of Kaneuji and was active around the Ouan period during the Nanbokucho period.
